About Us

Lauren (Kilby’s) path to flower farming began long before it became her livelihood. After years of tending a
backyard garden, she was invited in 2019 to develop and manage a cutting garden for a vineyard and
event venue on Colorado’s Western Slope. There, she discovered the unique intersection of agriculture,
seasonality, and design, which would ultimately shape the future of her own farm.
In 2021, Kilby, as she is known to her friends and her family, relocated to Washington’s Skagit Valley to
establish a vineyard and farm of their own. Today, she cultivates a collection of distinctive perennial
flowers chosen for their character, longevity, and beauty in the landscape.

Practices

Kilby's growing practices are rooted in a holistic approach, supported by a small flock of sheep, ducks, and chickens. Discarded fleece
from the sheep is returned to the soil, creating a closed-loop system that reflects her commitment to
thoughtful stewardship and sustainable growing.
